With faith in God and through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, we venture into the Twenty-first Century.
St. Joseph School Philosophy
St. Joseph School is a Catholic school where religious education forms an integral part of the entire school program. The faculty and staff commit themselves to engendering and understanding of the basic beliefs of the Catholic faith, and to fostering Christian values as a way of life. Through the celebration of liturgy, and through prayer, the children are supported and nurtured in their faith development.
In addition to religious education, St. Joseph School offers a flexible and well-rounded curriculum. Incorporated into this curriculum are opportunities for developing physical well-being, fostering creativity, instilling social awareness and engendering appreciation of the fine arts. In an effort to respect each student as an individual, St. Joseph School strives to provide a happy learning atmosphere. The faculty and staff believe that each member of the school community deserves respect. In accord with this belief, the school utilizes a discipline method with corrective and encouragement interventions designed to promote student self-esteem and self-discipline.
Knowing that a school program cannot succeed without the support of the home, the school encourages parental involvement and commitment. It attempts to foster a spirit of unity and cooperation to provide consistency in the educational process.
