St. Joseph School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) whose accreditation process has been approved by the Virginia Council for Private Education Committee on Accreditation as authorized by the Virginia State Board of Education. A formal evaluation process must be done every five years. The in between years require an annual plan to be submitted based on the self study / evaluation report in order to keep accreditation current. This process enables St. Joseph School to focus on its areas of strength and focused improvements. The faculty is a highly motivated professional group that is dedicated to the Christian educational process. All teachers have a college degree, with advanced credits or Masters degrees, certified in Virginia (and other states as well), or have provisional certifications awaiting certification. Teachers are recognized for updating and / or extending areas of certification.
