History

Founded in 1876, as part of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, the school was originally located on Market Street. The first building at the current school's location was built in 1916.

A postcard picture of Saint Joseph School, probably in the early 1900's or late 1800's on Market Street in Petersburg.  The building to the left of the school is still standing.  The original building for the school has since been demolished.  This picture is at the time when Saint Joseph School was an all girl school.
